Corbin Thunder’s hat-trick helped Sale FC (4th) return to winning ways with a convincing 52-24 triumph over bottom side Leicester Lions (14th).
The flanker completed his treble in the second half after Sale had led 28-12 at the break.
The Lions – now 19 points behind Leeds Tykes (who occupy the ‘relegation play-off spot’) – were the only side in the bottom half to collect a point.
Clifton (13th) threatened to boost their survival bid, but Rams (6th) struck three times in the final 13 minutes to seal a 45-25 victory at Old Bath Road.
A Max Hayman try had given Rams a 24-10 lead, yet quick-fire scores from Zak Hamid and Harry Johnson – plus a James McKinney penalty – edged Clifton 25-24 ahead.
However, Hayman (completing his hat-trick), Harry Stone and Zach Clow restored order as Rams secured a third win in four.
Elsewhere, Sedgley Park (9th) fell to a 33-19 home defeat against Rosslyn Park (5th).
Three tries inside the opening half hour from George Orchard, Sam Kennaugh and Maurice Nwakor-Nwanaebi laid the foundations in the North-West, with Murray Redpath and Benji Marfo adding further gloss after the break.

Scunthorpe (13th) produced one of the comebacks of the season, overturning a 25-point second-half deficit to stun Fylde (6th) 36-33.
The result significantly boosts The Greens’ survival hopes, leaving them three points behind 12th-placed Hull – who occupy the relegation play-off spot – with three games in hand.
Fylde appeared in complete control shortly after half-time, with Will Hunt (2), Will Greenwood, Adam Lewis and Ben Gould all crossing, but the final quarter belonged to Scunthorpe.
Will Robinson sparked the revival before Dylan Martin and Daniel Gilbert went over.
The comeback was then sealed four minutes from time as Jordan Beresford dotted down to complete a superb turnaround.
That victory drops Rossendale (14th) to the foot of the table despite them claiming a try bonus point in a 54-26 defeat to Darlington Mowden Park (5th).
Maciu Nabogi’s early second-half score had brought Rossendale to within two points, but four unanswered tries – including a Callum Mackenzie hat-trick – saw DMP pull clear.
The bottom three are separated by just six points after a valiant Hull (12th) eventually fell to a 24-10 loss against leaders Sheffield (1st).
The table-toppers – now 17 wins from 17 with just a single point dropped all season – trailed 10-5 at the break following an Jamie Shaul try and a Reece Dean penalty.
However, Sheffield found their rhythm in the second half as Matty Drennan and Alex Fawdry crossed before George Castledine secured the bonus point five minutes from time.

The hosts, chasing a fourth successive win, led 28-19 with 15 minutes remaining. Luke Wilson’s try and penalty had put Billingham ahead for a third time, yet Macclesfield responded superbly in the closing stages.
Converted tries from Ben Blackburn and Harry Blackwell, plus a Harry Oliver penalty, secured a battling win for the Cheshire side.
Tynedale (3rd) kept pace with Macclesfield after a stunning 42-37 comeback win at Preston Grasshoppers (10th).
An injury-hit Preston – winners of just one of their previous nine games – led 37-14 shortly after the interval but Tynedale then flicked a switch.
Quick-fire scores from Oliver Walker and Charles Richards were followed by a penalty try.
Jake Rodgers then capitalised on Sam Russell’s yellow card as the visitors turned the contest on its head in an extraordinary 18-minute spell.

And for the third successive home game, Sheffield Tigers (8th) nilled their opposition, defeating Otley (11th) 38-0.
Stephen Roberts’ side ran in six tries – including two from Ben Crowe – while this latest setback drags Otley closer to the relegation battle.

Sam Jones held his nerve to kick a late penalty to earn Old Albanian (1st) a 27-24 victory at Canterbury (4th).
OAs had led 17-7 before Canterbury rallied in the second half. A Frank Reynolds penalty and tries from Cameron Macmillan and Harry Sloan swung the momentum with 18 minutes remaining.
But not for the first time in recent weeks, Old Albanian found a response. Elliot McPhun’s clever try levelled matters before Jones calmly slotted the decisive kick.
Late drama also unfolded at The Big Field as Harry Barker’s 78th-minute converted try secured a 21-21 draw for Dorking (6th) against Oundle (2nd).
Harry Morley’s score after the break put Oundle in front, and the visitors appeared set for victory thanks to some staunch defence until Barker crossed in the corner, with Tom Hardwick producing a superb conversion to earn a share of the spoils.
The draw leaves Oundle six points behind Old Albanian ahead of next Saturday’s top-two clash.
Bury St Edmunds (3rd) are now just two points behind Oundle after running in 10 tries in a thumping 68-14 victory over Havant (10th).
Havant arrived in Suffolk on a five-match winning streak but had no answer to Bury’s intensity, with Samir Kharbouch and Andrew Denham both scoring twice.

Henley sit just one point behind 12th-placed Sevenoaks, who fell 21-12 at Guernsey Raiders (9th).
Guernsey secured a third successive win as Ethan Smith (2) and Tom Celliam helped build a 21-0 lead. Sevenoaks responded with two tries, but the hosts’ defence stood firm.
Sevenoaks – in the relegation play-off position – remain four points behind Esher (11th), who were beaten 40-22 at Barnes (5th).
Myles Rawstron-Rudd’s try had reduced the deficit to 21-15 shortly after half-time, but Will Nicholson and Mark McDermott (2) ensured victory for Barnes as Esher’s winless run extended to five games.
And London Welsh (8th) laid the platform for victory in a blistering first half to defeat Westcombe Park (7th) 44-22.
The bonus point was secured before the break thanks to Dafydd Manley, Adam Dunne, Hywel Williams and Elis Staines.
Although Combe cut the gap to 34-22 just after the hour by capitalising on Syd Blackmore’s yellow card, a penalty from Matthew Hodgson and an Andrew Black try sealed the result.

Trailing 14-10 at half-time, Exeter rallied through tries from Jack Randall, Tyler Bayley, Oliver Rendell and Freddie Skinner.
Loughborough secured a bonus point via Ben Webb’s late score, but after an encouraging start following tries from Rhys Hulse and Jack Howells, it proved to be a frustrating afternoon for the African Violet.
The win moves Exeter six points clear of the drop zone while they continue to occupy the ‘relegation play-off spot’.
Chester (11th) are now just four points above Exeter after suffering a heavy 61-14 defeat at Taunton (7th).

However, Finnian Love, Ben Priddey and George Edson sealed a ninth successive victory for the Cherry and Whites.
Camborne’s lead at the summit is now 12 points after Luctonians (2nd) slipped to a narrow 24-23 defeat at Barnstaple (4th).

Luctonians’ defeat allowed Hinckley (3rd) to reduce the gap to the play-off spot to 16 points (with a game in hand) after a 37-31 victory over Cinderford (6th).
